Born and raised in Tennessee, Richard has built his law practice on the time-honored values of integrity, hard work, and serving people.
He is consistently lauded by current and former clients for being meticulous, responsive, and above all a person who cares about his clients and how the legal system impacts their lives.
An experienced litigator with deep knowledge of the Court system and its rules, Richard previously served at the Appellate level for the Department of Labor’s Worker’s Compensation Division, where he presided over the appeal of hundreds of worker’s compensation claims. He also has served on the Administrative Review Committee for the Governor’s and Commissioner’s Top-to-Bottom Review. With his vast experience, Richard has also taught continuing education courses to other lawyers.
Richard grew up in Sparta, with his mother and stepfather, the late Angela and John Camp, who were both lawyers in the Middle Tennessee community. After graduating from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, he followed in their footsteps upon graduating from Nashville School of Law in 1999 and has continued the family’s tradition of serving clients through excellent legal representation for more than 25 years.
Richard has two children. A son of Tennessee, he is also an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoys a good fishing trip.
